This shift is not only feasible, but also essential for safeguarding public health and preserving the environment. Evidence from regions like North America and Europe demonstrates the effectiveness of non-lead alternatives, supporting the case for widespread adoption. Encouraging hunters and fishers to embrace non-lead ammunition is critical in this transition, requiring education and awareness campaigns to promote the benefits of such alternatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortunately, progress is being made in this regard, with initiatives by South African manufacturers and conservation organisations promoting the use of lead-free options.
